Product Description
DAM Quick 110-576 Pinion Gear - SLS 4
Restore the silent, powerful retrieval of your heavy-duty reel with this genuine DAM Quick Pinion Gear.
The Pinion Gear is the high-speed engine of your DAM Quick SLS 4 drivetrain. Located centrally on the main shaft, this robust brass gear meshes with the large main drive gear to spin the rotor. In the larger SLS 4 model, this gear endures significant torque and friction during heavy cranking. Over time, the helical teeth can wear down, leading to a "gritty" retrieve, excessive gear noise ("gear buzz"), or a loose, wobbly rotor. This authentic replacement part restores the fluid, precision mesh and mechanical tightness essential for a quality fishing experience.
Product Features
-
Precision Helical Cut: Teeth are machined to exact tolerances to mesh seamlessly with the main drive gear for vibration-free operation.
-
Model Specific: Engineered to the specific length, diameter, and thread pitch required for the DAM Quick SLS 4 housing.
-
Durable Alloy: Constructed from high-quality brass to resist wear while providing a smooth running surface against the steel main shaft and drive gear.
-
Restored Tolerance: Eliminates rotor wobble and restores the crisp, tight feel of the reel's rotation.
Model Compatibility
This part is verified to fit the following DAM Quick spinning reel models:
-
DAM Quick SLS 4
Note: This pinion gear is unique to the SLS 4. It is not interchangeable with the smaller SLS 3 (Part #110-575) or the larger SLS 5 due to differences in gear ratio and physical dimensions.

Installation Notes
Replacing the pinion gear involves a significant disassembly of the reel.
-
Remove the spool and the rotor nut to lift off the rotor assembly.
-
Open the reel body (side plate) and remove the main shaft and drive gear to release the pinion's internal engagement.
-
Remove the retaining screws or plate holding the pinion bearing/bushing in place.
-
Slide the old pinion out. Pro Tip: Check the condition of the Pinion Bearing (Part #110-550) and the Ratchet (Part #110-563) while the assembly is apart; a rough bearing will quickly ruin a new gear.
-
Clean the housing of old grease and debris. Apply fresh reel grease to the teeth of the new 110-576 pinion and light oil to the shaft surfaces.
-
Install the new pinion, ensuring it spins freely in the bearing before reassembling the rest of the drivetrain.
