Drag Surface Treatment: Apply a very thin, translucent coating of Deuthlon Reel Grease to both sides of the CarbonTex washers. This specialized grease is formulated to withstand the high-speed friction of the HGA series while providing a waterproof barrier.

Mechanical Protection: Use Deuthlon Reel Oil on the spool support bearings and the level-wind worm gear to ensure the reel operates with zero friction, complementing your upgraded drag system.
Installation Tip: Before installing your new kit, use a high-quality degreaser to remove all old, factory grease from the metal "eared" and "keyed" washers. Ensuring these plates are perfectly clean and free of scoring is vital for the CarbonTex washers to perform at their peak.
