Product Description
DAM Quick 110-573 Pinion Gear - SLS 0
Revive the smooth, high-speed spin of your ultralight reel with this genuine DAM Quick Pinion Gear.
The Pinion Gear is a critical component of the drive train in your DAM Quick SLS 0. This brass gear sits on the main shaft and meshes directly with the main drive gear to spin the rotor. It is the high-speed half of the gear ratio. Over time, pinion gears can suffer from worn teeth, bent shafts, or stripped threads (where the rotor nut attaches), leading to a rough, "gritty" retrieve or a wobbly rotor. This authentic replacement part restores the silent, effortless rotation and precise gear mesh that defines the SLS 0.
Product Features
-
Precision Machining: Helical-cut teeth designed to mesh perfectly with the main drive gear for vibration-free operation.

Installation Notes
Replacing the pinion gear is an advanced repair that requires disassembling the rotor and gearbox.
-
Remove the spool and the rotor nut to lift off the rotor.
-
Open the side plate and remove the main shaft and main drive gear to free the pinion.
-
Remove the retaining screws or plate holding the pinion bearing in place.
-
Slide the old pinion out. Inspect the Pinion Bearing (Part #110-548) while it is accessible; if it feels rough, now is the time to replace it.
-
Clean the housing thoroughly. Apply quality reel grease to the new 110-573 pinion teeth and a drop of oil to the shaft where it rides in the bushing/bearing.
-
Reassemble in reverse order, ensuring the main shaft slides freely through the center of the new pinion.
