Installation Notes
Replacing the side plate is the standard method for accessing the reel's internals.

Remove the handle assembly.

Remove the retaining screws securing the old plate (keep track of their specific locations as lengths may vary).

Carefully lift off the old plate. If the main gear comes out attached to the plate, ensure you do not lose any shim washers on the gear shaft.

Clean the mating surface of the reel body thoroughly.

If the new plate does not include a bearing/bushing, transfer the one from the old plate.

Install the new 110-520 plate and tighten the screws evenly. Do not over-tighten, as this can crack the composite material.
