To achieve the legendary "silky" feel of a CarbonTex system, proper lubrication is essential. We highly recommend the following high-performance treatment during installation:

Drag Surface Treatment: Apply a very thin, translucent coat of Deuthlon Reel Grease to both sides of the CarbonTex washers. This specialized grease is formulated to withstand extreme pressure while providing a waterproof barrier that prevents "chatter" under heavy load.

Internal Fluidity: Use Deuthlon Reel Oil on the spool bearings and drive shaft to ensure the reel operates with zero friction, maximizing your free-spool performance and complementing the upgraded drag system.
Installation Tip: Before fitting your new kit, use a high-quality degreaser to remove all old grease and debris from the metal drag plates. A clean metal surface is vital for the carbon fiber to seat and perform at its peak.
