Professional Maintenance & Lubrication
To achieve the legendary "silky" feel of a CarbonTex system, proper lubrication is essential. We highly recommend the following high-performance treatment:

Drag Surface Coating: Apply a very thin, translucent coat of Deuthlon Reel Grease to both sides of each CarbonTex washer. This specialized grease prevents "chatter" and protects your internal metal plates from corrosion and pitting under heavy load.

Mechanical Fluidity: Use Deuthlon Reel Oil on the spool bearings and drive shaft to ensure the reel operates with zero friction, maximizing your free-spool performance and complementing the upgraded drag system.
