To achieve the "silky" feel expected of an Aldebaran and protect the precision MicroModule gearing, proper lubrication is essential during installation:

Drag Surface Treatment: Apply an extremely thin, translucent coating of Deuthlon Reel Grease or Cal’s Universal Tan Grease to both sides of each CarbonTex washer. This specialized grease is formulated to prevent "chatter" while providing a waterproof barrier.

Mechanical Fluidity: Use Deuthlon Reel Oil on the spool bearings. For the Aldebaran MGL, high-quality, low-viscosity oil is the secret to maintaining the effortless casting of the MGL spool.
Bait Finesse Tip: When servicing the Aldebaran MGL, check the small Belleville washers (the two curved spring washers) under the star drag. Ensure they are stacked in the correct "opposing" orientation
