Scotty 9018 Motor (12V, Short Leads) - Replacement for Standard Downriggers (Non-HP) 

Need to replace the motor on your standard Scotty electric downrigger? The Scotty 9018 (Part #24154) is the genuine 12V replacement motor you need, BUT please read compatibility details carefully.

This motor is designed for many standard models like the 1099, 1101, 1106, 1116, and 1117. However, there are two key things to note: 

1. Short Leads for Single-Belt Units: This motor has SHORT electrical leads. This is intentional for easier installation on newer standard downriggers that use a SINGLE-BELT drive mechanism.   
2. Older Dual-Belt Units May Need Modification: If you have an OLDER downrigger model that uses a DUAL-BELT drive, the wires on this motor will likely be too short. You should be prepared to safely splice and extend the wires a few inches to complete the installation.
3. NOT FOR HP MODELS: This replacement motor WILL NOT FIT any of the newer Scotty High Performance (HP) downrigger models.
