Product Description
DAM Quick 110-582 Oscillation Slider - SLS 4
Restore the precise line management and smooth spool stroke of your DAM Quick reel with this genuine Oscillation Slider.
The oscillation slider (also called the traverse block) is the key link in your reel's line lay system. It connects the main shaft to the oscillation gear, converting rotational energy into the up-and-down motion of the spool. On the heavy-duty DAM Quick SLS 4, this component endures significant stress from the weight of the spool and the drag of the line. A worn slider can lead to irregular line stacking ("coning" or "hourglassing"), a "sticky" spool stroke, or knocking sounds during retrieval. This authentic replacement part restores the consistent, even line distribution essential for long-distance casting and smooth drag payout.
Product Features
-
Heavy-Duty Tracking: Engineered to handle the mechanical load of moving the larger SLS 4 spool assembly without flexing.
-
Precision Fit: Machined to glide smoothly within the specific body channels of the SLS 4 housing.
-
Wear Resistant: Constructed from durable material to withstand the constant friction of the oscillation pin.
-
Restored Function: Eliminates spool "slop" and ensures the line is wound edge-to-edge for maximum capacity.
Model Compatibility
This part is verified to fit the following DAM Quick spinning reel models:
-
DAM Quick SLS 4
Note: This slider is designed specifically for the SLS 4 frame. It is not interchangeable with the smaller SLS 3 (Part #110-581) or the larger SLS 5 due to differences in size and track geometry.

Installation Notes
Replacing the oscillation slider involves a deep cleaning and re-greasing of the reel's internal tracks.
-
Remove the spool, rotor, handle, and side plate to open the gearbox.
-
Remove the main drive gear to expose the oscillation mechanism.
-
Remove the screw securing the main shaft to the old slider and slide the shaft out (or far enough to free the slider).
-
Remove the old slider. Critical Step: Clean the tracks in the reel body and the oscillation gear pin thoroughly. Old, hardened grease here is a common cause of sluggish performance.
-
Install the new 110-582 slider. Apply a generous coating of quality reel grease to the side tracks and the center groove where the gear pin rides.
-
Reattach the main shaft securely and cycle the mechanism by hand to ensure smooth travel before final reassembly.
