Product Description
DAM Quick 110-575 Pinion Gear - SLS 3
Revitalize the smooth, high-speed spin of your mid-sized reel with this genuine DAM Quick Pinion Gear.
The Pinion Gear is the critical high-speed component of the drive train in your DAM Quick SLS 3. Sitting on the main shaft, this brass gear meshes directly with the main drive gear to spin the rotor during retrieval. Because it spins at a much higher rate than the handle, it is subject to significant wear over time. If your reel suffers from a "gritty" retrieve, excessive gear noise, or a wobbly rotor due to stripped threads, this authentic replacement part is required to restore the silent, effortless rotation DAM Quick reels are known for.
Product Features
-
Precision Helical Cut: Teeth are machined to exact tolerances to mesh perfectly with the main drive gear for vibration-free operation.
-
Model Specific: Engineered to the exact length, diameter, and thread pitch required for the DAM Quick SLS 3 housing.
-
Durable Alloy: Constructed from high-quality brass/bronze to withstand friction and maintain smooth running against the main gear.
-
Restored Function: Solves issues with rotor wobble, gear buzz, and rough cranking.
Model Compatibility
This part is verified to fit the following DAM Quick spinning reel models:
-
DAM Quick SLS 3
Note: This pinion gear is unique to the SLS 3. It is not interchangeable with the smaller SLS 0/1/2 or the larger SLS 4/5 models due to differences in gear ratio and physical size.

Installation Notes
Replacing the pinion gear is an advanced repair that requires disassembling the rotor and gearbox.
-
Remove the spool and the rotor nut to lift off the rotor assembly.
-
Open the side plate and remove the main shaft and main drive gear to free the pinion from the inside.
-
Remove the retaining screws or plate holding the pinion bearing in place.
-
Slide the old pinion out. Recommendation: Inspect the Pinion Bearing (Part #110-550) and the Ratchet (Part #110-562) while accessible; worn bearings will quickly damage a new gear.
-
Clean the housing thoroughly to remove any metal shavings. Apply quality reel grease to the teeth of the new 110-575 pinion.
-
Reassemble in reverse order, ensuring the main shaft slides freely through the center of the new pinion.
