Product Description
DAM Quick 110-550 Bearing - SLS 3 / 4
Bring back the silent, effortless retrieve of your mid-sized reel with this genuine DAM Quick Ball Bearing.
The 110-550 Ball Bearing is the precision-engineered heart of the rotation system for the DAM Quick SLS 3 and SLS 4 models. Typically supporting the main drive gear or the high-speed pinion shaft, this bearing endures significant load during casting and retrieval. Over time, salt intrusion, dirt, or lack of lubrication can cause the bearing to pit or seize, resulting in a rough, noisy feel. Replacing worn bearings is the single most effective way to restore your reel to "like-new" smoothness.
Product Features
-
High-Load Capacity: Designed to support the larger gearing and higher torque of the SLS 3 and SLS 4 models.

Installation Notes
Bearing replacement requires a clean workspace and attention to detail regarding shims.
-
Disassemble the reel to access the gearbox or rotor shaft (depending on bearing location).
-
Remove the old bearing carefully. Critical Step: Look for thin copper or Teflon shim washers that may be stuck to the old bearing or sitting in the housing. These control gear mesh and must be reinstalled.
-
Clean the housing pocket thoroughly to remove old grease, salt, and metal filings.
-
Apply a few drops of high-quality reel oil to the new 110-550 bearing.
-
Press the bearing into the housing gently and evenly to avoid damaging the races.
-
Reinstall the shims and reassemble the reel. Test for smoothness; if the reel feels tight, adjust the shim stack.
