Product Description
DAM Quick 110-511 Drive Gear - SLS 3
Revitalize the smooth cranking power of your DAM Quick reel with this genuine Drive Gear.
The drive gear (often referred to as the main gear or master gear) is the central powerhouse of your spinning reel. Designed specifically for the DAM Quick SLS 3, this component translates handle rotation into the high-speed spin of the rotor. Over years of heavy use, the gear teeth can wear down, leading to a rough, "gritty" retrieve, excessive noise, or even slippage under load. This authentic replacement part restores the fluid, silent mechanical operation that DAM Quick engineering is known for.

Installation Notes
Replacing the drive gear is a standard internal repair that requires opening the reel body.
-
Remove the handle and the side plate screws to expose the gearbox.
-
Carefully remove the old drive gear. Critical: Watch for any thin copper or Teflon shim washers on the gear shaft. These must be transferred to the new gear to ensure proper alignment.
-
Thoroughly clean the inside of the reel body and the pinion gear to remove any metal shavings or old, hardened grease.
-
Apply a generous coating of high-quality reel grease to the teeth and shaft of the new 110-511 gear.
-
Install the new gear, replace the side plate, and test the handle turn. If the reel feels tight, you may need to remove a shim; if it feels loose, you may need to add one.
