Product Description
DAM Quick 110-510 Drive Gear - SLS 2
Restore the smooth cranking power of your DAM Quick reel with this genuine Drive Gear replacement.
The drive gear (also known as the main gear or master gear) is the central engine of your spinning reel. On the mid-sized DAM Quick SLS 2, this gear is responsible for transferring the energy from the handle to the pinion gear and rotor. Over years of use, the gear teeth can wear down, leading to a rough, "gritty" retrieve, excessive noise, or slippage under load. This authentic replacement part restores the fluid, silent mechanical operation that DAM Quick reels are famous for.

Installation Notes
Replacing the drive gear is a standard internal repair.
-
Remove the handle and the side plate to expose the gearbox.
-
Carefully remove the old drive gear. Watch for any shim washers on the gear shaft—these are critical for proper alignment and must be transferred to the new gear.
-
Thoroughly clean the inside of the reel body and the pinion gear to remove any metal shavings or old, hardened grease.
-
Apply a generous coating of high-quality reel grease to the teeth and shaft of the new 110-510 gear.
-
Install the new gear, replace the side plate, and test the handle turn. If the reel feels tight or gears feel "meshy," adjust the shim stack accordingly.
