Product Description
DAM Quick 110-479 Bail Spring - SLS 3 / 4
Revitalize the casting performance of your DAM Quick reel with this genuine Bail Spring replacement.
The bail spring (often called the torsion or return spring) is the power source behind your spinning reel's automatic bail closure. Engineered specifically for the larger rotors of the DAM Quick SLS 3 and SLS 4, this spring must generate significant torque to flip the heavy-duty bail arm assembly. If your bail feels sluggish, fails to snap shut completely, or requires manual assistance after a cast, a fatigued or broken spring is the primary cause. This authentic replacement part restores the strong, crisp action necessary for efficient line management and trouble-free fishing.
Product Features
-
Calibrated Tension: Designed to handle the heavier bail mass of the SLS 3 and SLS 4 models.
-
Fatigue Resistant: Manufactured from tempered spring steel to maintain torque over years of repetitive use.
-
Exact Fit: Precision-shaped tangs ensure positive engagement with the rotor body and bail arm.
-
Essential Maintenance: The most effective repair for restoring a "lazy" or non-functional bail return.
Model Compatibility
This part is verified to fit the following DAM Quick spinning reel models:
-
DAM Quick SLS 3
-
DAM Quick SLS 4
Note: This spring is shared between the SLS 3 and SLS 4. It is not compatible with the smaller SLS 0/1/2 or the larger SLS 5, which utilize different spring rates and dimensions.

Installation Notes
Replacing the bail spring on these larger reels requires firm pressure due to the higher spring rate.
-
Remove the bail arm screw and detach the arm from the rotor.
-
Remove the old spring fragments and clean the spring housing of any hardened grease or salt.
-
Insert the new 110-479 spring, firmly seating the anchor tang into the rotor body hole.
-
Align the active tang with the catch on the bail arm.
-
You will need to rotate the arm against the spring tension to align the screw hole. Hold firmly to prevent the spring from slipping out.
-
Tighten the screw and test the action; the bail should snap back with authority.
