Installation Notes

The SLS 5 line guide assembly may contain internal bushings or washers. When replacing the guide, ensure these internal components are clean and in good condition.

1. Remove the bail arm screw to release the old guide.

2. Clean the pivot shaft thoroughly.

3. Apply a high-quality reel oil or light grease to the shaft and the interior of the new 110-457 guide.

4. Reassemble, ensuring the guide spins freely by hand before tightening the screw completely. A seized roller on a reel of this size will ruin fishing line very quickly.
