Product Description
SHIMANO 101TD WORM SHAFT (18CTCQ400)
Restore Synchronized Level Wind Performance
The Shimano 101TD Worm Shaft is the genuine OEM oscillation gear designed for the 2018 series of Shimano Calcutta Conquest 300 and 400 round baitcasting reels. This precision-machined shaft is the heart of the level wind system, guiding the line guide pawl back and forth to ensure perfectly even line distribution across the spool.
As part of the Synchronized Level Wind system found in the Calcutta Conquest, this worm shaft rotates in unison with the spool (even during drag payout on select models), ensuring the line angle remains optimal for maximum casting distance and drag smoothness. If your level wind is skipping, binding, or making grinding noises, a worn worm shaft is the most common cause. Replace it with this authentic Shimano component to maintain the "micromodule" smoothness your Conquest is known for.

Installation Tip: The worm shaft works in direct contact with the Line Guide Pawl (often part BNT2192 or similar) and the Worm Shaft Pin. It is highly recommended to replace the Line Guide Pawl simultaneously when installing a new worm shaft, as the two parts wear together. Using a worn pawl on a new shaft can damage the new grooves immediately.
