This small but essential component serves two purposes: it provides a clean, finished look to your reel handle, and it seals the knob cavity to protect the mounting screw and bearings/bushings from saltwater intrusion and debris. If you have lost your cap during a fishing trip or while servicing your reel, this factory replacement will restore the original appearance and protection.

Installation Tip: This cap covers the Handle Knob Screw (WD4-0301). To remove an old cap, use a small pick or thin flathead screwdriver to gently pry it out. To install the new one, align it and press down with your thumb.
