Installation & Lubrication Recommendation
To prevent premature wear on the spindle wire and ensure the knob spins freely during a run, proper lubrication is essential during assembly.
We recommend treating the spindle wire and the interior bore of the knob with Deuthlon Reel Oil (Cast Lube). For the threaded base where the wire enters the spool, a small amount of Deuthlon Reel Grease will prevent seizing and corrosion, especially in saltwater environments.
