Product Description
SHIMANO 144EG WORM SHAFT (23CU200XG)
Restore Precision Line Lay on Your Curado M
The Shimano 144EG Worm Shaft is the genuine OEM replacement oscillation gear for the 2023 "M" generation of the Shimano Curado 200 series. This precision-machined shaft is the core of the level wind system, driving the line guide pawl back and forth to ensure perfectly even line distribution across the MagnumLite (MGL) Spool III.
If you are experiencing "bunching" of line on one side of the spool, hearing a grinding noise during the cast, or if the level wind gets stuck in one position, a damaged worm shaft is the likely cause. Replacing this component with the factory-original 144EG part restores the smooth, silent operation and long-casting performance that the Curado M series is famous for.

Installation Tip: The worm shaft works in direct contact with the Line Guide Pawl. It is highly recommended to replace the pawl (Part No. 10BHQ) whenever you replace the worm shaft, as using an old, worn pawl on a new shaft can damage the new grooves immediately.
