Product Description
DAM Quick 110-522 Side Plate - SLS 2
Protect your reel's precision gearing with this genuine DAM Quick Side Plate replacement.
The Side Plate (also known as the body cover or gearbox cover) is the primary shield for the internal mechanism of your DAM Quick SLS 2. It seals the main drive gear, oscillation system, and bearings against saltwater spray, sand, and dust. Beyond protection, this plate provides critical structural support, holding the drive gear in perfect alignment for smooth cranking. If your original plate is cracked, warped, or has stripped screw holes, this authentic replacement part is essential for maintaining the mechanical integrity of your reel.

Installation Notes
Replacing the side plate requires careful handling of the internal components.
-
Remove the handle assembly from the reel.
-
Remove the side plate screws (note that screw lengths often vary; keep them organized).
-
Gently pry the old plate off. Be careful not to drop the shims (thin washers) that may be sticking to the drive gear shaft or the inside of the cover.
-
Clean the rim of the main body housing to ensure a flush fit for the new plate.
-
If the new plate does not come pre-installed with a bearing or bushing, carefully transfer the one from your old plate.
-
Install the new 110-522 plate and tighten the screws in a crisscross pattern to ensure even pressure and a good seal.
