1. Remove the Handle Side Plate: Unscrew the three knurled captive screws. Gently pull the right-side plate assembly away from the frame.

2. Spool Removal: Slide the spool out of the frame. Inspect the spool shaft for any signs of oscillation wear or debris buildup.

3. Tension Adjustment: Adjust the mechanical brake knob (spool tension) until the spool has just a fraction of side-to-side play.
