Because the 80-01-00 revision is now over 40 years old, it commonly suffers from "grease-lock"—a condition where original petroleum-based lubricants have dehydrated into a hard, shellac-like substance that hampers the clutch and gears.

Step 1: Disassembly and Vintage Inspection
