Phase 1: Disassembly and Initial Access

1. Handle Assembly: Remove the handle nut cap screw and the 10mm handle nut. Pull the handle arm away from the drive shaft. Remove the star drag wheel and the two curved spring washers (Belleville washers).

2. Side Plate Removal: Loosen the three knurled thumb screws on the right side plate (palm side). Remove the plate and slide the spool out of the frame.

Phase 5: Reassembly

1. Drive Train: Place the pinion gear back into the yoke and seat the main gear and drag stack onto the drive shaft.

2. Frame Closure: Align the left side plate with the frame pillars and secure the screws.

3. Spool and Side Plate: Slide the spool back into the frame, ensuring the brake weights are retracted. Reattach the right side plate and tighten the thumb screws.

4. Final Components: Reinstall the star drag, spring washers, and handle. Tighten the 10mm nut and replace the locking cap.
