Product Description
Accurate B-8130-1 1-72 x 1/4 T6 Torx Socket Screw
The Accurate B-8130-1 T6 Torx Socket Screw is a precision-engineered micro-fastener designed for critical assembly points within Accurate's high-end saltwater reels. Measuring 1-72 x 1/4 inch, this specialized screw utilizes a T6 Torx (Star) drive, providing maximum torque transfer and preventing the stripping issues commonly associated with small Phillips or flat-head hardware.
Manufactured from high-tensile, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the B-8130-1 is built to withstand the high-vibration environment of offshore fishing. It is typically used to secure internal components such as clicker assemblies, bridge plates, or small exterior accents where a flush, secure fit is required.

Maintenance & Lubrication Recommendation
Because of the extremely fine 1-72 threading, these screws are highly susceptible to salt crusting and "seizing" if not properly maintained.
-
Installation: Before threading the B-8130-1 into an aluminum frame or sideplate, apply a small amount of Deuthlon Reel Grease to the threads. This prevents galvanic corrosion between the stainless steel screw and the aluminum reel body.
-
Tooling: Always use a high-quality, calibrated T6 Torx driver. Using a driver that is worn or the wrong size will damage the socket head, making future removal extremely difficult.
-
Protection: For exterior-facing screws, a drop of Deuthlon Reel Oil on the head of the screw after cleaning will help displace moisture and maintain the polished finish.
Why Genuine Accurate Hardware?
At a 1-72 thread pitch, tolerances are microscopic. Genuine Accurate B-8130-1 screws ensure the pitch and depth match the factory-tapped holes perfectly. Using generic hardware can lead to cross-threading, which often requires expensive frame or sideplate replacement.
