Product Description
DAM Quick 110-525 R/S Plate - SLS 5
Protect the powerhouse internals of your surf reel with this genuine DAM Quick Right Side Plate.
The Right Side Plate (R/S Plate) is the heavy-duty cover for the main gearbox of the DAM Quick SLS 5. As the largest reel in the series, designed for surf casting and big game, the SLS 5 relies on this plate to maintain rigid alignment of the main drive gear under heavy drag loads. A cracked or warped side plate can lead to gear misalignment, water intrusion, and catastrophic failure during a fight. This authentic replacement restores the reel's structural integrity and weather sealing.

Installation Notes
Replacing the side plate on the SLS 5 is a significant maintenance task.
-
Remove the heavy-duty handle and all retaining screws from the side plate. Note that screw lengths often differ.
-
Gently pry the old plate off. Be careful not to damage the gasket (if present) or lose the shims located on the drive gear shaft.
-
Clean the rim of the main body housing thoroughly to remove salt buildup and old grease.
-
If the new plate does not come with a bearing/bushing, carefully transfer the one from the old plate.
-
Apply a thin bead of marine grease to the mating edge of the new 110-525 plate for extra water resistance.
-
Align the plate and tighten the screws evenly to prevent warping.
