Product Description
New style handle kit to fit alot of Hardy reels.
The handle appears to be a light color pearl (possibly made of fiberglass, really hard to tell) *lighter than picture shows*, the base is a really nicely machined brass, and the post is brass as well.
This kit requires the excess post material to be cut off and polished after installation. One would use pliers or such to grab the exposed post to tighten the post (use thread lock on the threads). Then cut off the excess close to the knob, polish the top, and go fishing :)
If you need (or want) to re-thread the hole in your spool, the post threads appear to be 5-40tpi
The pictures really don't do this part justice...knobs are more bamboo in color than they show!

Perfect Fit
I have an old 50’s Perfect and the handle fell off! Threads were simply gone. I ordered a new handle from Mike’s thinking I’d have to epoxy it in or drill and thread a new hole, but no! It was literally perfect. I think it cut new threads as it went in and is perfectly secure. Threw some locktite on it and we were off to the races! Landed my new PB Wild brown trout the following weekend on that reel. Thanks to Mike’s Reel Repair!
