Kit includes both the 1117079 Idler Gear, specifically cut for the bearing (no c-clip needed), and 1117080 Idler Bearing.
Installation is an easy 5 minute job. These new style gears will increase you levelwind speed, increase the durability and decrease friction to give you a LONGER CAST!

This kit will fit all Abu round reels from 4000 size to 6600 size.

Buy it its a must have if u like to throw far. i own 2 crome 6500 rockets i instaled the new idler gear with after makert ball bearing worm gear i can empty my spool with 20#test on as 13foot breakaway ldx best $9.00 ive spent

I am writing one review concerning all the up grade parts I have installed on my 55Cs, which include: 2 main shaft bearings, the worm gear with bearings kit which includes a new line carriage and ceramic prawl, and the idler gear with bearing. First I installed all the parts but the main shaft bearings...big difference...smoother...longer casts. Then I installed the main shaft bearings...sheeeeesh...was so smooth and fast, it bordered on uncontrolable. I had to bear down on the shaft tension knob to the point that the extra pressure it made reeling in an effort. The problem was tamed by changing the brake blocks on the spool to the large size as opposed to the mediums most of us use. Voila! Smoother, 15-20% longer casts, with no more than normal backlash, if you change brake blocks. If you are still cranking away on your old time proven Ambassadeurs as I am, I highly recommend these additions. You'll have a new reel.
