This piece will never be seen or sold here, I have no earthly. You might want to look for a hidden screw, or small pin somewhere closeby. If that's it, manipulate that, and give the sideplate a twist in a direction.
Other bass reels need a push on the star somehow.
You might want to visit Gerry's bass board, where the readership is at least a ratio of about 300-1. I'm the only one on the forum at Mikes right now, and I'll bet there are over 300 right now at the bass board.

...push the star drag in towards the reel and turn the handle backwards to remove it.
The star and handle are locked together by teeth and spring pressure. _________________ "Keep it outta the water damnit!"
