I am having a problem locating the correct schematic for my black Ambassaduer 5000C. The foot number is 060106. Held another way it may be 901090. The decal on the left side reads: High Speed Retrieve, Ultra Cast, Stainless Steel Ball Bearings. The right side has: Abu Garcia, Ambassadeur 5000-C and the line size/capacity.
The reel has large black handles. The left side has a coat of arms and center has silver band with white letters on black background , ABU Garcia. The left side is smooth except for the coat of arms and center decal. The coat of arms is imbedded. Thanks ............ Eddie

OK from Iowa:

Quote: "The 3 schematics above in the attachment are the closest matches I could find.
I did not find a 90-10-90. I believe it is read the other way also; 06-01.
I show a 5000C 05 01 or a 5000CA 06 01 and a 5000C 99-01." End quote.

So, use these. Any further questions, how about you put them in the baitcasting forum.

Ken,

I guess I will go with the 06 01 schematic. It seems to be the one that looks close. I still can't figure out the year. I just don't know how to convert the Swedish calandar. I looked up on the internet and could not find how to convert 060106. The link you sent me makes no sense to me in regard to my numbers. I guess the first 06 is the year of introduction.
The 01 is the alteration number and the last 06 is the year of production.
But like I said I don't know what the 06 converts to in the Swedish calandar.

I own 6 ambassadors and work on some for friends. I may upgrade them to cast better. If I need parts I will order from you.

Thanks for your time .................. Eddie

Eddie,

060106 translates as follows.

06 - year of design = 1996
01 - second revision, i.e one change-step made to the original design
06 - year of production = 1996

SE calandar explained.....it's a European thing, going by the week.
The actual days within weeks change year by year. http://www.calendar-365.com/week-number.html

Today is tuesday July the 10th, next year July the 10th will be wednesday, and so on till a leap year, then it all goes awry again.

On the link, note Yall weeks start on sunday and end on saturday, while Euros start on monday, and end on sunday.
